What is this product Made out of?

The Pizza Stone and Pizza Canopy are made from a Chemically Bonded Ceramic mineral we call OBDURITE.  See ABOUT page.

Can the Pizza Stone go Directly on the BBQ grill?

Yes.  Both the Pizza stone and Canopy are made to go directly on your BBQ Grill.  Pizza Stone can also be used in your regular oven like any other pizza stone.

How do I use the Pizza Stone Pizza Canopy Set?

Center your Pizza Canopy over 2 burners (3 burners if available on your BBQ) and place the stone in the center of the Pizza Canopy.  3 burners will heat much faster and you may want to turn off the center burner before placing the pizza on stone.  Pre Heat BBQ with your 2 (or 3) burners turned on high and BBQ lid closed for 15 Minutes.  While the Canopy and stone are heating you can start preparing your pizzas.  When your pizza is ready, place it on the stone with a pizza peel.  It wont take you long to learn how fast your BBQ works.  A 500 degreeF stone will cook an average pizza in about 5 minutes. When you are beginning,  keep your eye on your pizza.  It may need to be rotated after 3 minutes or so.

How do I get the pizza onto the Stone in the Canopy?

The best way is to make your Pizza on a cutting board or something flat – with flower underneath – roll out the dough – transfer the pizza dough to a floured Pizza Peel (link to pizza peel ) – add your sauce and toppings – insert the pizza peel into the Canopy  and on to the pizza stone.  If your Peel is properly floured, the pizza will come off of the Peel with a quick jerk of the wrist.
